1. Related regulations when sorting and packing plants:
Wearing special and clean clothes.
Regular bathing and maintaining personal and body hygiene.
Keeping nails short.
Washing hands regularly with soap and water without fragrance and without chemical compounds.
Use clean gloves and follow all daily rules.
Not wearing jewelry and other ornaments while working.
2. Prevention of contamination by animals:
Make sure that animals such as dogs and cats do not come into contact with the plants during storage and that their droppings do not contaminate the crops.
Organic products and non-organic products should not be stored in the same warehouse at the same time, and organic products should be stored in a separate warehouse.
To avoid mistakes and confusion, immediately after the product enters the warehouse, the temporary organic label and the year of production should be written.
3. Tool and surface cleanliness:
Wash and disinfect all tools with non-chemical substances before working and contacting plants.
Avoid dirty and contaminated tools and containers when harvesting.
Clean all surfaces that the plants come in contact with with non-chemical materials.
4. Sort and delete:
Do not dry plants on plastic. Use white linen or cotton cloths to preserve herbal ingredients and prevent contamination.
Sorting medicinal plants should be done in the warehouse and sending them to the residence of the workers should be strictly avoided.
All people should be given the necessary training while working with medicinal plants, such as maintaining cleanliness, not using creams and cosmetics containing chemicals, etc.
Do not use metal staples to close and seal the cartons, and be sure to use colorless glue or the color of the carton uniformly.
5. Packaging:
Use only new, white, food grade certified bags.
Label all sealed packages appropriately. The labels should be white and the writing on them should be black.
Packaging according to the order must be done in 5-layer cartons for export or in new white bags, and do not use old cartons, sacks and bags in any way.
In case of ordering cartons from the suppliers, the size of the cartons must be coordinated before the purchase so that the sizes are in such a way at the time of loading that we can make maximum use of the cargo transfer container space.
Do not use previously contaminated sacks and bags to transport plants to the warehouse. The bags should preferably be white and new and have a maximum weight of 20 kilos.
o All cartons or bags must be single weight.
The final bags for export must be made of waterproof laminate, so that there is no problem in the transportation routes, customs, hangar, etc., or to protect the plants in humid weather conditions, and the inner part must be made of food grade.
Make sure that the lid of the bag is sewn twice so that if the thread loosens or the shape of the plastic bag changes in environmental conditions such as heat and cold, plants do not come out of the holes between the seams (especially safflower and yarrow due to their size and dimensions).
The writings on the labels and tags are sent at the request of the company and must be written exactly according to the requested information.
Labels must be sewn to bags or sacks so that they do not come off easily during export.
Never use recycled or single-use bags.
6. Warehouse:
Clean the herbal storage without chemical detergents. In case of using mild chemicals, before placing the plant in the warehouse, the said place should be completely washed with water and the doors and windows should be left open so that the smell and effects of detergents are completely removed.
Avoid keeping any chemicals, poisons, fungicides and herbicides in the storage of medicinal plants.
Stored products should be monitored regularly and necessary measures should be taken if there are any insects or storage pests, etc.
The storage of products should be in a dry and cool place and not exposed to direct sunlight.
All the lamps must be in protective covers so that they do not enter the stored products in case of breakage or any damage.
All warehouse windows should be glued crosswise so that they do not spread if broken.
Avoiding the use of pesticides in storage (notify us of approved natural methods).
Store all organic produce in place and label after drying and sorting.
7. Transfer and transportation:
Machines carrying medicinal plants should be cleaned with non-chemical substances and it should be ensured that they are not transported together with products or other goods that may contaminate the products.
